| After all the metal
parts were removed or hidden, the skeleton was ready to be added on to.
I took the hands, and using epoxy putty from Aves, I formed general tissue
bulk and tendon areas over the palm and finger bones. I also secured the
hands into as dramatic a position as I could reasonably set them. I took
the lower mandible and formed a tongue inside with the epoxy. I painted
the tongue at this point because I wouldn’t be able to reach it later. Then
I affixed the jaw to the skull with more epoxy, and set it in an open position
for more impact. |
