Once the hands had cured, I took some tissue paper and glue and created a very rough fleshy coating over them, trying to suggest the shape of anatomical features like tendons and veins. I didn’t touch the wrist because I wanted it to remain free to flex later on.
I did the same process on the torso, covering all the hollow areas between the ribs, and giving me a surface to work on later. This also obscured any metal bolts and screws I couldn't feasibly remove. At this point the body began to resemble a mummy.
