Stage six.

Over the roughed-in mache, (which dries rigid without shrinking), I formed epoxy into the remaining skin on the head, leaving the other side for muscles later. Since the corpse was to have been a young character, I didn’t have to worry about sculpting too much detail or wrinkles into the epoxy, just some skin texture. Epoxy is difficult to sculpt with any precision. Previously I had sanded the mache on the back of the head, so I just blended the epoxy into this smooth surface.
